Rome, February 3rd, 2017 – On February 1st, 2017, the European Commission published the report on the state of implementation of the “Once-Only Principle” concerning the sharing of information pertaining to citizens and businesses among public administrations of the EU Member States. The study, realized by GNKS Consult BV and FORMIT, is one of the research activities realized by FORMIT under the Framework Contract for the provision of the evaluation and impact assessment services to DG CONNECT.
The report “Study on EU-wide Digital Once-Only Principle for citizens and businesses: policy options and their impacts” (SMART2015/0062) proposes a number of policy options to help European decision makers to make effective and efficient the exchange of information pertaining to citizens and businesses among the administrations of different Member States. The publication of the report has been disseminated at European level through the EC newsletter on Digital Single Market released on February 3rd, 2017.
