We are pleased to announce that the Horizon 2020 project "SYSTEM - SYnergy of integrated Sensors and Technologies for urban sEcured environMents" has been awarded to a Consortium coordinated by Fondazione FORMIT.
The objective of the project is the integration of a data fusion system consisting of several sensors for the continuous monitoring of threats associated with the manufacturing of explosives and the production of synthetic drugs in Europe. SYSTEM will use the data collected from different sensor systems and will correlate them to provide Law Enforcement Agencies with enriched information, useful for assessing the potential occurrence of crimes in a specific urban area. The consortium will test the functionality of SYSTEM in seven different European cities during three years of operation.
The project is part of the H2020 "Secure societies – Protecting freedom and security of Europe and its citizens" call, and it has been developed for the purposes of the topic "SEC-10-FCT-2017 - Integration of detection capabilities and data fusion with utility providers’ networks".
The Consortium is composed by a mix of Industrial, technical partners and SMEs, Law Enforcement Agencies, Utility network operators, Scientific partners, Municipalities, for a total of 23 partners and 10 supporting organizations, from 7 European Countries.
