In Research and Innovation area FORMIT Foundation expresses its competences in study, analysis and evaluation of valorisation processes of R&D results and the related success factors. The activities focus on complex analysis of technological systems through the realization of organizational, economic-financial and econometric models to interpret the not linear relations between research activity, technological arrange, use of the technologies and definition of public policies through intervention programs. Qualitative and quantitative methodologies are used in order to estimate the functional, economic, organizational and social impacts of R&D activities and technological systems. Through those models effects and impacts of political and research programs, development and innovation are measured. To support those measurement complex systems of monitoring and evaluation are implemented. The team of the area based the success of these activities on its own analytic competences in order to evaluate the feasibility and to launch innovative entrepreneurial initiatives, in particular spin-off enterprises of research.
Experiences have been collected through national and international projects, collaborating with a network of institutions, organisms of research and enterprises that aim at innovation for own competitive strategy.
