Description:

The project aims to design, develop and implement a new learning curriculum in Highway design and management, through a combined effort between European and Russian Universities in line with Bologna process requirements, relating to:

• Design criteria and traffic flow theory;
• Calculation of service levels of different highway elements;
• Road Pavement design and maintenance;
• Environmental impact evaluation criteria in line with European Directives;
• Road infrastructure security management in order to meet compliance with Directive 2008/96/EC and road security controllers’ education;
• Advanced traffic management;
• New techniques for the selection and classification of measures to increase security and mobility;
• Technical English;
• Internships in European research laboratories and enterprises to increase student competititvity both in Russia and in International labour market.

Dissemination activities aim support its sustainability and are dedicated to the updating of all stakeholders willing to implement a master course in HDM.
